We’re all so beautiful
Made from clay and bone
Filled with the warmth of blood
pumping wildly ‘neath
the softest of skin
Our mouths breathe forth the breath
first put into by God,
the laws say nothing is lost
The power and majesty of the First Day
still surrounds us
LORD, open my eyes so I can see it
angels, demons, hope life love danger
let me fall to my knees and thank you
for I am in of everything
o Mighty Majestic Creator
of heaven and earth.
I see a strong man,
an attractive man,
a man who can do anything,
a man whose opinions are valued,
and whose dreams are achievable.
I see a man of worth and value,
a man who fits into his community
with something to offer.
I see a prosperous man,
a hopeful man,
a man of God and a man of the people.
He treats everyone fairly and kindly.
He is not afraid
and inspires others not to fear.
People comes from miles around just to hear more about you
and you go miles away to see them.
Your days are full of adventure and hope
You are the makings of lore.
I will exalt You.
You are the highest.
You are the deepest.
You are the strongest.
You are the most loving.
Everything You touch is good.
Help me be more like you.
Nature inspires awe simply by being itself.
You can do the same.
Because you are.
I love the beauty of God,
how it swirls around me like a whirlwind.
The simplest glimpse of You
makes my flesh go weak
and my soul cry out.
How majestic are you, Lord,
I marvel at Your splendor.
I love that the Greek word for God’s love for us is agápē
Because, when you remove all the markers above the letters,
you get agape-
like mouth agape, heart agape, mind agape,
God’s love for us is so beyond our comprehension
that it should leave us with our jaw hanging down,
we ought to be scratching our heads and
falling to our knees in awe of it.
Likewise, when we love like He loves,
we should illicit the same response.
We’re talking blow-your-mind awesome.
Our love should be so righteous, so pure,
so unexpectedly right
that it leaves a mark, makes a difference,
changes the world, if only a little bit.
There, my friends, is our benchmark.
Time to thrive.
