The Power of Words

In Acts, we see the Holy Spirit descending upon the disciples in tongues of fire. In Isaiah, we see an angel branding the tongue of the prophet before sending him out.

We who know God, who belong to His family, have His words on our lips. By His power and will, we speak wisdom and prophesy. All insight and encouragement we may give goes forth directly from Him.

As the saying goes, “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.” We must guard our hearts and minds, so only good goes out of it.

This of it this way, God spoke and the world was created. John calls Jesus Christ the very Word of God. This same Jesus brings our dead souls back to life, works miracles, and leads the way through life temporal into life eternal.

Today, let us meditate on the power of words and speak what is good.

Bless you, my friends. God is good.

Hang out with people that astound you
Learn from them
See how they tick
We were not put on this Earth
to walk through it alone.
We were meant to walk together,
“It is not good to be alone,” God says,
and He made the Universe
so it must be true.
He knows us better than we know ourselves.
Let us devote our lives to getting to know each other,
to see with the Spirit’s eyes,
and ask how to love, to cherish, to redeem, and encourage
